All the sexiness would’ve been too inappropriate for the children and most likely ended up offending the parents. Rihanna’s outfit/dancing during the performance also seemed to be toned down compared to the music video. The song, “Rude Boy”, would definitely be considered adult content because it references a man’s penis. The awards were voted on by kids and the overall goal was to entertain kids. The audience is primarily made up of kids and their parents. I think censoring this performance was justified given the fact that it was a kid’s show.

Most notably, the lines, “Can you get it up?” has been changed to “Is my love enough?”, and “Is you big enough?” has been changed to “Is IT big enough?” However, the original version of her song was deemed inappropriate for the young audience and she changed some things in her performance.
